Cal Poly Modeling Series 2018
When: July 9 - July 20, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

CESAME is partnering with Western Regional Noyce Initiative (WRNI) and are pleased to offer two concurrent, two-week professional development courses this summer in chemistry and physics.
These workshops are structured inquiry approaches to high school physics and chemistry teaching that incorporate computer technology and insights from The Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standard and current education research.
Approved by Cal Poly Extended Education for one, three or six CEUs (fees not included in registration).

This Modeling series is funded by two grants:
•CESAME Cotchett Educational Grant
•Western Regional Noyce Initiative (WRNI)
CESAME and WRNI are providing funding that allows us to waive the registration cost and provide a stipend for local teachers and selected Noyce scholars and alumni.In addition, WRNI has provided funding to support traveling for a limited number of Noyce participants. Noyce scholars will be notified if they are selected, and will be given instructions regarding the funds available to assist them with their travel.
$250 stipend will be included for:
•San Luis Obispo, Northern Santa Barbara County and Souhern Monterey County Secondary teachers
•Selected Noyce Scholars/Alumni (can also qualify for travel expenses)
