College of Engineering Ambassadors

Sign up for a College of Engineering Tour!
An engineering overview tour covers the field of engineering, the engineering majors offered at Cal Poly, and the similarities and differences of each major. Your tour guides will take you through many engineering labs, a key part of Cal Poly’s “Learn by Doing” curriculum. Tours are designed to help high school and college transfer students learn about engineering and decide which engineering major is right for them. Tours last two hours and end at Chumash Auditorium in the University Union (Building 65) a few minutes before the university campus tour begins.

College of Science and Math Ambassadors

The college of Science and Math Ambassadors is a group of students dedicated to promoting the College of Science and Math and encouraging strong relations with faculty, staff, and students. Ambassadors can offer tours and other information!
To get in touch with the ambassadors, contact the Dean's Office at 805-756-2226.

Cal Poly Group Tours

Groups of 15 or more must make prior arrangements for a campus tour. Placing your request 3-4 weeks in advance is recommended, but a minimum of two weeks notice is required. Special arrangements for tours and admissions presentations can often be made at times convenient for the group. All tours are led by current Cal Poly students who sign up to lead group tours as their schedules allow; tour confirmation is made when a student tour guide is scheduled. Allow maximum lead time for the greatest chance of accommodation.

Schools/Organizations: To arrange a special group tour for 15 or more people, please email Cal Poly Recruitment at recruitment@calpoly.edu.

Cal Poly Arboretum

Cal Poly's Leaning Pine Arboretum is not only an educational tool for Botany and Horticulture students, but it's a beautiful destination as well! The Arboretum features many different gardens from five different climate regions. This would be a perfect place to take students for lunch, or just to look around.
