Project Description

The VISTA serving with Cal Poly SLO’s College of Engineering will support Cal Poly Engineering and K-14 students. The VISTAs role is to strengthen and build sustainability into outreach and student success programs.

Several projects include STEM outreach, student success program assessment, diversity and inclusivity professional development workshops, and building partnerships. This VISTA project will also address the culture within Cal Poly’s College of Engineering by facilitating discussion across different student groups, faculty, and staff, and by helping to examine cultures of STEM knowledge production through the experiences and perspectives of undergraduate students from marginalized standpoints.
