About the CSU STEM VISTA Program

The CSU STEM VISTA: Building Institutional Capacity for a Stronger Baccalaureate, is a program launched by California State University (CSU)'s Center of Community Engagement with AmeriCorps VISTA in July 2014.  The CSU STEM VISTA Program builds leadership of VISTA members and host site supervisors to foster cultural and systemic change in higher education in STEM. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve on CSU campuses full-time for 10 weeks (summer) or one year.

About Cal Poly's Involvement

Since Summer 2014, Cal Poly has been hosted five full year VISTAs and twenty 10-week Summer Associates. The CSU STEM VISTA program at Cal Poly supports a variety of initiatives to promote equitable STEM practices and culture on our campus. Our program reaches across many colleges and departments at Cal Poly to support engineering outreach, undergraduate research, undocumented students, and much more.
